PyConf Mini 2026: Hablon - Symposium on System Design and Design Patterns

PizzaPy is back! This time, we're partnering with VBP, Sansan Global Development Center, Inc., Cebu GNU/Linux Users Group (CeGNLUG) and Holistic Coalition of the Willing (HoliCOW) to organize (one of) your favorite time of the year: A PizzaPy Mini Conference!

We'll be having PyConf Mini 2026: Hablon – Symposium on System Design, Software Architecture, and Design Patterns (the title was too long for Meetup.com) this Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM, at the VBP Office on the 17/F of JEG Tower, Acacia St. cor. Archbishop Reyes Ave., Kamputhaw, Cebu City.

This yet another event that there is no AI on the title or agenda, but it's actually... sorta... related... sadly. Since it's easier to generate code, our Software Engineering know-how should level up from writing code to Designing Systems, from Python Code-level to System-level.

To help you out level up in your learning of these topics, we've gathered three super-awesome practitioners who have lived and breathed System Design, Architecture, and Design Patterns in their length and depth of experience in the IT Industry.

After the talks and panel discussion on everything Software, we'll have a super awesome talk about something else c/o HoliCOW. Something related to the title of the event.

This event is designed for Intermediate to Advanced Software Developers. For Beginners, you've been fully warned. That or we'll redirect you to the other Tech Community event that'll happen in a building across ours. Though to be exact, we prefer the audience to have some experience in Programming already, and have done some software projects by themselves. So students are still qualified, especially if you're about to start your Undergraduate Project (aka "Thesis").

Since we're flying in a speaker, this will be a paid event. But it'll be just ₱200.00. With that amount, you'll get Pizza, Drinks, and Unlimited Learnings! It'll be the best ₱200.00 you'll ever spend!

Payment will be on the day itself. We'll accept Cash, GCash, Maya, and Bank Transfer (BPI, Landbank, CIMB)
